Also called Vital Statistics and abbreviated to BWH, Bust/Waist/Hip Measurements are a common method of specifying body proportions for the purpose of fitting clothes and indicating physical appearance. Usually used to depict women, the three sizes are the circumferences of the Bust, Waist and Hips; usually rendered in centimeters or inches.
Breast Envy Trope[]

Breast Envy usually occurs when one female character comes across another female character who has much larger breasts than they do. This usually results in the first character becoming jealous and envious of the other character due to a variety of reasons but most notable due to the assumption that their larger breasts will attract the attention of the male characters. This trope stems from the generalised real-world belief and beauty standard that "bigger is better" when it comes to a woman's breasts and women with smaller breasts sometimes become insecure, envious, jealous, upset (or a combination of the four) towards those with larger breasts due to it.
This trope tends to appear most often within the harem genre within which several female characters are vying for the love and attention of one or more male characters and so are constant competition with each other in all aspects; from their behaviour, their abilities and their physical appearance. Fearing that they will be ignored or looked down upon since they do not have the large breasts of the other characters, characters with smaller breasts will grow envious of their busty competition and attempt to go to greater lengths in order to get attention from the male characters.
As large breasts are sometimes seen as status symbols amongst women, in genres where there is no noticeable love interest, Breast Envy may arise due to a desire to not be mistaken for a child, or be treated as "underdeveloped" and "immature" because of their comparatively small chest.
BWH measurements, Cup size and Height[]
Because cup size is only partially measured in BWH measurements (to measure cup size the circumference of the rib cage underneath the breast must also be measured and then the difference between that and the Bust measurement decides what cup size is needed, the larger the difference the larger the cup size.) BWH measurements can only partially depict a womanâs body shape.
Breast volume, or cup size, will further detail a woman's figure. A woman with measurements of 32A-27-36 (Bust: 33, A cup, Waist: 27, Hips: 36) inches will have a different body shape than a woman with measurements of 32C-27-36 (Bust: 35, C cup, Waist: 27, Hips: 36) inches due to the former woman's rib cage being about 30 to 32 inches in circumference (according to the 32), with a full bust measurement of 33 inches, the A being an inch of difference in the circumference between the fullest part and the band no. The latter woman's rib would be about 30 to 32 inches around and a full bust measurement of 35 inches. The result is that the latter womanâs breasts will appear "bustier" and her hips larger than the former woman even though their BWH measurements are both 36-25-38 inches.
The letter of the cup is larger as it goes up the alphabet, with double letters being large than the single in all but one case, AA is smaller than A. The BWH is frequently given as three numbers, the measurement of the fullest part of the bust, the measurement of the thinnest part of the waist and the measurement of the largest part of the hip, which usually falls to be around the butt.
An A cup on a 32 inch band is much smaller than an A cup on a 40 inch band. A person usually has a band measurement a few inches larger than waist measurement. A woman with 38-28-38 may have a bra size of 30H, 32F, 34DD and a 36 would be too large on her frame.
Height will also affect the presentation of the figure. A woman who is 36-24-36 at 5'2" tall, looks different from a woman who is 36-24-36 at 5'8" tall. Since the latter woman's figure has greater distance between measuring points, she will likely appear thinner than her former counterpart, again, even though they share the same BWH measurements.

- Okayado outright states in the manga volume of MaMaMa: Magical Director Mako-chanâs Magical Guidance that he loves large breasts.
- According to her profiles, Cream has a breast envy over Nubi, the main reason being is, that Cream is rather short for a Minotaur, while Nubi's breasts are quite large even for a Satyr, even a bit larger than Cream's.
- In western culture the ideal sizes for a woman are said to be B90 W60 H90 cm (B36" W24" H36").
- To achieve a desired appearance, women may add padding to increase their figures, or tightly wrap their bodies in an attempt to decrease their figures. This practice is most commonly applied to the bust, however, corsets are sometimes used to decrease the Waist measurement.
- Centorea's measurements are larger than the ones known, as showed in chapter 29, when her bra snapped and Rachnera stated that it was 103cm large.
- The Tofu Shop lady and Ms Smith are, so far, the only human women whose measurements are known.

- "Nice Oppai Day" (August 1st and November 8th) is a Japanese internet holiday that started in 2011, on the first day of August (8/01), and is the result of a Japanese joke. In Japanese the number 1 can be spelled "ichi" or be called by its chinese spelling "i", number 0 can be spelled "re" or be interpreted to the alphabet "O", number 8 can be spelled "hachi" or be called by its chinese spelling "pa". So you get; 1 (i), 1 (i), 0 (O), 8 (pa), 1 (i). 11081 > iiopai > ii oppai ("nice boobs"). Nice Oppai Day was designated as a day where people on image and social media boards such as Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, celebrate and appreciate Oppai (breasts) in all their shapes and forms. Many Japanese gravure models and female cosplayers also join in on the event by posting images of themselves displaying their busts to the camera.
- November 8th has been adopted as a second "Nice Oppai Day" (due to November (11th month) and the 8th day (11/08) spelling "iiopa" in similar vein to August 1st.
- Minotaur's Milking Ranch was created by Okayado to commemorate "Nice Oppai Day" in 2016.
- Inverted nipples are a natural condition where the nipples, instead of pointing outward from the breast like most average nipples, are retracted inside the breast. As natural as having an "inny" belly button or an "outy" belly button, inverted nipples will harden, grow and 'pop out' just like an average nipple when stimulated, aroused or cold, and return back inside the breast afterward. Inverted nipples will also grow and protrude from the breast like an average nipple during pregnancy and breastfeeding. According to a study, about 10% of all nipples are inverted.
- Due to the unique shape of taur-type Liminals such as Centaurs or Sphinxes, their hip measurements cannot be measured and are therefore left as unknown,.
- So far, there are no characters in the manga series who is known to have a C-Cup.
- In real life, how large the BWH measurements of women are partly depends on which ethnic group they belong to. For example, East Asian ladies tend to have a smaller bust size compared to Middle Eastern ones and African ladies tend to have larger buttocks compared to European ones.
