A Bandage is a flexible material with a flat profile often used in medical treatments. Used almost universally for physical injuries, bandages are used to cover up open wounds or sensitive skin to prevent irritation or infection.
Bandages come in 2 primary forms, a small adhesive patch with a padded center area for absorbing excess fluid runoffs and more famously long, thin strips that come on a roll and wrap around the entire circumference of the afflicted body part.
Bandages were first used at least as far back as the periods of ancient Egypt, where they were most famously used to mummify the deceased to preserve their corpses and limit decay.

Trivia[]
- A popular fashion choice is to wrap much of a person's torso in swathes of bandages in what is known as Sarashi. While this is usually done for a purely cosmetic reason (mainly to look cool), there are practical applications. One for both genders is for the bandages to act as extra padding in a fight (alongside wrapping them around the hands as makeshift boxing gloves).
- As with reality, Mummies in Monster Musume are completely wrapped in linen bandages. However, only male Mummies are completely wrapped from head to toe, with only small openings on the face for their eyes and mouth. Female Mummies by contrast regularly show half their skin out in the open, with their bandages often arranged in imitation of clothing such as gloves, stockings, long skirts, or even a bikini.[1][2]
