Carrots are a root vegetable. Grown underground, carrots are known for their crunchy texture, leafy tops, and pointed ends. The vast majority of store-bought carrots are orange through human cultivation, but wild carrots come in a much wider variety of colors, including white, yellow, and purple.
While primarily consumed by humans, carrots are also used as treats for animals, primarily horses.

Trivia[]
- In Japan, carrots are widely despised by children for their taste and being hard to bite.
- Although it is very embarrassing to her, Centorea is obsessed with carrots and the prospect of getting free fresh produce (including carrots) was enough to convince her to help Cathyl and Merino on the ranch in Chapter 33. The reason why this is so embarrassing for Centorea is that the impetuous, passionate joy she feels about the taste of carrots (as her Centaur biology gives her a much stronger sense of taste than humans) often leads to others making fun of her, as it contradicts her otherwise calm and controlled demeanor.[1]
- A very common cliché often portrays carrots as rabbits' absolute favorite food. In real life, carrots can be fed to rabbits because they contain a lot of fiber and vitamin A, but in general, it is important to make sure that carrots should not be fed as a main food in a balanced diet, as too much carrots can cause digestive disorders in rabbits.
- In Chapter 72, in the ANM48 Cafe and Store, one of the dishes named after a member of ANM48 is the Usako-chan's carrot shirishiri, probably a reference to the cliché of the carrot-loving rabbit, as Usako is a rabbit-like Usagimimi Liminal.
