Plot[]
The Chapter begins with Centorea sweeping grass into a pile on a farm in the early morning as she sweats heavily from the hard work. Kimihito stops her for a short break, giving her some tea and asks how the farm work is going. Centorea replying that it is very strenuous and that she is surprised that she has to do everything manually. The conversation is interrupted by the owner of the farm, a Heavyweight Centauride who introduces herself to Kimihito as Cheron.
Cheron briefly explains to Kimihito that Centorea has agreed to help her, even though Centorea makes it clear that her offer to Cheron actually only consisted of to offer heradvice and not that she would work on Cheron's farm as a farmhand. Centorea quietly thinks to herself that a knight like she shouldn't do such lowly work and what will her mother say about it.

Centorea feels humiliated by the farm work.
Kimihito says goodbye and leaves to prepare lunch for the other homestay girls, while Cheron tells Centorea that they now have to prepare the fields. However, Centorea is not all enthusiastic and also outraged when she learns that she should doing this with a plow as if she were an ordinary workhorse. While Centorea and Cheron now works the field in individual steps, Centorea complains repeatedly, which does not disturb Cheron. Subsequently, Centorea uses a manure spreader to scatter fertilizer over the field, and then she has to use a harrow to break up the clods of earth to create a soil structure suitable for sowing seeds. After Centorea has finished working the field, she exhaustedly asks Cheron if they are done for today, but her hope is dashed when Cheron shows her another field that they still have to work on, with Centorea being horrified to notice that this field is larger than the last one.

Cheron, Centorea, and Kimhito talk during lunch.
Later, during a break with picnic, Cheron thanks them for the meal and also praises Kimihito's carrot cake, which flatters him. Centorea is totally exhausted from the hard work on the farm and asks Cheron why she does all the work by hand instead of using farm machines like a tractor. Cheron then explains that a tractor is not profitable because extra species like Centaurs can tend the fields better than any machines with the use of old farm tools and can also cover long distances without any problem, while a tractor is especially ineffective in the middle of a city. Cheron also explains that this is not only a good way with which Liminals can earn a lot of money with simple farm work, but that it is even more important that they can be proud of their skills and that there are more ways to use the special traits from Liminals.
Both Kimihito and Centorea are surprised at how deep Cheron's thoughts are and Centorea has to admit that she has to reconsider her previous opinion of Cheron that she was a bit of an airhead. However, in the midst of her thoughts Centorea suddenly stumbles, thinking that she's heard Cheron's name somewhere beforehand, but she cannot pursue this train of thought any further because Cheron says that they must go back to the fields.

The biker gang tries to steal vegetables in Cheron's fields.
When Centorea and Cheron arrive at the fields, however, they are suddenly interrupted by the loud noise of an engine, and as they look around they discover a group of thieves who are breaking into the fields and stealing tomatoes and carrots. Outraged by this behaviour, Centorea calls out to Cheron that she will deal with the thieves while in the meantime Cheron can calls the police. At the same time, Centorea secretly thinks to herself that this would be a good time to show off her knightly prowess. However, when Centorea turns to Cheron, she stops abruptly, as she sees the Heavyweight Centauride suddenly undergo a drastic change. Her previous calm, carefree expression is suddenly replaced by an angry coldness, causing Centorea to back down uncertainly.

Cheron confronts the thieves.
Cheron stands threateningly in front of the thieves and asks them icily what they are doing in her fields. The biker thieves flinch at the sight of Cheron and try to talk their way out, but Cheron doesn't hesitate. First she uses her shovel to fling a large amount of dirt and stones at them. With injuries to their faces, the biker thieves try to flee in horror, but Cheron unceremoniously levers a large rock out of the ground with her shovel and thrown it onto the thieves' bikes and destroys them, leaving the thieves with no way to escape quickly.
Cheron now angrily prepares to punish the thieves once and for all and threatens to ask them if they have anything else to say. Intimidated, the thieves try to talk their way out of it with the rather weak excuse that they thought the tomatoes and the other vegetables in the fields would grow wild in nature, but this excuse, in which so laboriously grown vegetables are equated with wild plants, only enrages Cheron even more, and she beats up the biker gang with hoof kicks until they pass out.
Centorea, still amazed, recognising her fighting style, finally realizes where she has heard the name Cheron from before: Cheron du Per, member of the infamous Heavy Cavalry Per clan, a Heavyweight Centaur clan of great warriors. When Centorea asks Cheron what a great warrior of the house Pell is doing on a farm, Cheron explains that that is merely past glory and that even a knight must learn to live in harmony with the times. Jousting is now merely a sport and Cheron has found her own path by sharing her way of life with others.

Centorea becomes a farmer.
Centorea is deeply impressed by these words and realizes how different she and Cheron are, because even as a knight, Cheron thinks about all Liminals. Deeply ashamed of herself, Centorea thinks that she still has a lot to learn. She asks Cheron if she can continue to help her with the farm work, and when Kimihito is surprised the next day by Centorea's sudden enthusiasm for farm work, Cheron says that Centorea now thinks of herself as a farmer.
