Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (モンスター娘のいる日常, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou) Chapter 89 is the eighty-ninth chapter of the Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls manga series.
Written and drawn by mangaka Okayado (Inui Takemaru), this chapter was released in Japan on January 17th, 2025, by the Japanese publishing company Tokuma Shoten within the seinen manga and anime magazine, Monthly Comic Ryu.
The chapter was later gathered as part of the series' tankobon volume Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls Volume 20.
Plot[]
The chapter begins with Kimihito and some other male humans, each having a Honey Bee Liminal girl sitting on their laps while a standing honey bee girl with a writing pad explains that the winner of this contest is the one being able to express the most honey out of the honey bee girl being assigned to them.
The two Liminal tribes argue with each other.
Kimihito being shocked by the predicament he's in recalls how did he end up in this situation. As it turns out, he found out, through the Dark breastmilk Webside the Succubi gave him, about two honey stores opposite each other, one belonging to the Honeypot Ant Liminal tribe and the other to the Honey Bee Liminal tribe. His curiosity gets the better of him so he decides to check whether these stores may be involved in illegal activities in connection with the Breast milk Website. It appears the females of both insectoid Liminals are outdoing each other in persuading human men to work for them but their advertisings appear to be scaring a few of them away.
Kimihito makes the acquaintance of Avis and Milme.
Kimihito who has been witnessing this while hiding behind a pillar also notices two drones, an antboy and a beeboy hiding behind a signboard and observing the situation like him. He then invites both of them to have light refreshments at a restaurant while asking them what's all the commotion about. The male ant introduces himself as Milme and the male bee's name is Avis. Kimihito wonders why the two are so friendly to each other, since they belong to rival stores. Avis and Milme say a bit vaguely that they somehow became friends because they're dealing with the same problem. They then say their big sisters are the queens of their colonies, although they explain to Kimihito's question that 'queens' in this context is more closely the equivalent to 'leaders' without royal status and that the two brothers are therefore also not princes.
The grueling tests of the candidates.
Kimihito asks the insect boys if their tribes seem to be at war with each other. Both continue by saying they're looking for suitable soulmates for their big sisters to be their milkers as well since they're queens unlike the worker bees and soldier ants, so milking machines are inappropriate for them. As their colonies are achieving the same quests, they ended up being rivals. Furthermore, the drones tell Kimihito that in order to find the right human man for the job, the candidates need to pass impossible and grueling tests.
Kimihito soon learns that Avis and Milme the ones who posted online comments in the breastmilk site to attract more candidates. Suddenly, one of the insect boys mentions that it might help if they could find a milking expert and Kimihito decides to participate in the tests, as this seems to be the only way to solve this chaotic situation. First, he tries out the honey bees' tests but due to recommendations by Avis who's their queen's younger brother, he's exempted from all tests except the one about hand expression. He passes this test with flying colors thanks to being a master at milking female liminals (due to his experiences at the Black Lily Ranch) to the shock of the examiners.
The scathing speech of the Honey Bee Queen.
He and two other candidates who pass different kinds of tests are told to wait in the audience chamber for the queen bee who's hiding behind the curtain. When the queen shows her presence, she looks like a buxom dominatrix who shocks the three of them with her appearance. She initially congratulates them for making it this far politely before yelling at them like a prima donna, saying that they're not worthy because they're only professionals in one of the tests and asked them to leave before respectfully thanking them for participating.
Kimihito is shocked and traumatized by this experience as he leaves the honeybee store with the other participants. He meets the two drones again who tell him that their sisters are really picky in selecting their spouse but Kimihito replies that they should have warned him about it earlier on. He then notices that the former participants are now behaving in the similar manner as a few of the patients he saw in the hospital and he finds it strange that both of them say their sisters have pleasant personalities especially after the bad experience he just received from the queen bee. However, he points out to Avis and Milme that the two queens may only be nice to them, because they are just doting on their younger brothers.
Next, he participates in the honeypot ants' tests which is similar with a few differences as the examiners are harsher, the tests are more strenuous and the honeypot ant girls he needs to perform hand expression on have extremely oversized breasts. This female Honeypot Ants, referred to as "nutritional storage workers", have modifying their bodies through training and breast augmentation from a young age in order to be able to produce extra much honey, to supply the other members of their tribe with energy and honey.
But as before due to recommendations from the younger brother of the queen, he only needs to pass one test and once again he does so successfully which frightens the honeypot ant girls. He's allowed a meeting with their Honeypot Ant Queen but to his surprise he's the only candidate and as with the queen bee, the buxom ant queen also dresses in a dominatrix outfit but she's much harsher and stricter and even openly calls Kimihito a "maggot".
The two queens threaten to fight each other...
Suddenly, the honey bee queen barges into the room with a few of her subordinates and politely asks the Honeypot Ant queen to hand over Kimihito to her to be the honey bee tribe's 'milking pet', adding that he's of no use to the honeypot ant tribe after failing their tests. However, the Honypot Ant queen objects to this suggestion and the two insect queens start arguing about having possession over Kimihito. The quarrel between them becomes more and more heated and eventually they try to attack each other with physical violence. Horrified, Kimihito realizes that a fight between the two queens could lead to an interspecies incident with far-reaching negative consequences for all liminals, but due to his shock, he doesn't come up with a solution to this dicey situation quickly enough.
... which, however, is prevented by the intervention of their brothers.
Fortunately, the younger brothers of the queens arrive in the nick of time to break up the fight by using themselves as human shields. Seeing the younger brothers of their opponents in front of them, the queens' demeanors become nervous as they try to break but end up slamming into the boys, resulting in their nipples being exposed with one of it being accidentally sucked by the insect brothers. They start lactating profusely from it and become extremely aroused. The queens are also very impressed that they are courageous enough to sacrifice themselves to protect their sisters and sternly tell the brothers not to stop suckling when they try to apologize.
Avis and Milme beg Kimihito for help, but he can't do anything for them.
Kimihito and their subordinates, who have been witnessing this, realize that the two queens are shotacons, which means that part of the reason they rejected all the other potential boyfriend candidates was simply because those candidates didn't have a boylike or young look. It's then agreed that they'll switch brothers and that means the queens will breastfeed each other's brothers like babies. From that action, they soon become close friends, forming an alliance between their stores, but now the boys are afraid that they might developed diabetes from being breastfed with honey everyday. They complain to Kimihito about it and beg for the latter's help, however, he says he's not able to as it might break the treaty between their tribes.

- Honeypot Ant Liminals are introduced to the series as a Liminal species.
- It is revealed that similar to how Pans and Satyrs continuously produce milk even outside of pregnancy, female Honey Bee Liminals and Honeypot Ant Liminals produce honey in their breasts and must be milked daily.
- As revealed, the reason why female honeypot Ant Liminals constantly produce honey is that they provide honey and energy to the other members of their tribes through breastfeeding, with some members, referred to as "nutritional storage workers", modifying their bodies through training and breast augmentation from a young age in order to be able to produce extra much honey.
- Through the Extraspecies Exchange online websites the Succubi gave him, Kimihito learns of two honey shops, one run by Honey Bees and one run by Honeypot Ants, that are recruiting candidates for some kind of event. Due to his research into possible illegal activities associated with the online websites, he decides to investigate what these shops are all about.
- When Kimihito arrives, he is surprised to discover that the two shops are rivals and meets Avis, a male Honey Bee, and Milme, a male Honeypot Ant, both of whom are also the younger brothers of the queens who lead the two tribes.
- Avis and Milme wrote the post because they searched for candidates via the online website, as their sisters were looking for boyfriends who could milk their breasts. The queens refused to use the milking machines like their regular shop workers, as it would be too "shameful" for queens. However, due to their fussy personalities, they rejected all the candidates.
- Kimihito suspects that some of the psychologically assaulted patients at the Okayado General Hospital were traumatized by the scathing speeches of the Honey Bee Queen and Honeypot Ant Queen, although he also takes into account the possibility that these two events have nothing to do with each other and are just coincidence.
- To end the rivalry between the two stores, Kimihito applies to both the Honey Bee Queen and the Honeypot Ant Queen as a candidate, but both loudly reject him. When the two queens almost come to a physical altercation, Avis and Milme stop the fight, albeit in a chaotic situation, with Avis accidentally sucking on the Ant Queen's breasts and Milme accidentally sucking on the Honey Bee Queen's breasts. The Honey Bee Queen then accepts Milme and the Honeypot Ant Queen accepts Avis as their respective boyfriends, and it is revealed that they rejected all the candidates because they are shotacons.
- After this incident, the queens decide to swap brothers, which also ends the rivalry between the two tribes, as they no longer clash over the same goal of finding boyfriend candidates for their queens. However, this "solution" is less than ideal for Avis and Milme, as they now have to drink honey from the queens' breasts every day, fearing that this could lead to diabetes.
Trivia[]
- As Okayado stated on Twitter, the ant Liminals in this chapter were initially supposed to be from the Army Ant tribe, but when he realized that this was not so appropriate for the theme of the arc (army ants wouldn't produce honey, i.e. "breast milk"), he changed them to the honeypot ant tribe. However, since the design remained the same, he himself is not sure whether they are honeypot ants or army ants anymore.
- Kimihito has the number 99 in this chapter, the same number he had at the EXPO in Chapter 49 as a dating candidate for blood-drinking Liminals.
- While the Honey Bee Liminal in Chapter 53 produced royal jelly in her breasts, it is stated in this chapter that both Honey Bee Liminals and Queen Bee Liminals produce honey in their breasts. However, one of the advertising signs of the Honey Bee shop indicates that they also sell royal jelly to their customers.
- Both the queens of the honey bee and honeypot ant tribes share similarities with the Arachne Leader in chapter 67 that they have no interests in matured looking men and are sexually interested in males with boyish looks.
- Kimihito's assumption that the similarity in the behavior of some of the physiologically assaulted male patients in the hospital and the depressed male candidates who were rejected by the queens with scathing speeches could also be just a coincidence, should prove to be correct later in Chapter 90, since the patients in question were instead "milked dry" by Saane in her "challenge", which had nothing to do with the queens.
