A Cocktail is an alcoholic mixed-drink; most commonly, either a combination of alcoholic drinks, or an alcoholic drink mixed with other ingredients such as fruit juice, flavored syrup, or cream. Cocktails vary widely across regions of the world, and many websites publish both original recipes and their own interpretations of older and more famous cocktails.

As part of their training to work at Bar Zetto N, Miia and Rachnera Arachnera had to learn to make various cocktails to serve to bar patrons.

Types[]

Kir[]

Kir is a mixed drink made from white wine and creme de cassis, a black currant liqueur. If champagne is used instead of whine, it is called a "Kir Royal". The cocktail is mainly drunk as an aperitif. In Brittany, cidre is often used instead of champagne and this drink is served as "Kir Breton".

Tequila[]

Whiskey[]

A whiskey cocktail is a cocktail that included whiskey. Although whiskey is often served neat or on the rocks, it is used in many cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and Julep. Some specifically call for Scotch Whiskey or bourbon whiskey.

El Diablo[]

Highball[]

Highball is a cocktail category closely related to Longdrinks.

Highballs consists of a basis spirit, optional other ingredients and a carbonated "filter", such as soda water or ginger ale. The proportion of non-alcoholic ingredients predominates, with the proportion of spirits varying from 2cl to 6cl. It is typically prepared in a highball glass, a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Decoration plays only a minor role.

Samurai Rock[]

Red Eye[]

Mimosa[]

A Mimosa is a cocktail that consists of equal proportions of sparkling wine, usually champagne, and orange juice. There are other variants of Mimosa in which the orange juice is replaced by juice from other citrus fruits or other juices such as peach juice. The Mimosa is usually served well chilled in a champagne glass. The cocktail is becoming increasingly popular as a brunch drink, especially in the UK.

Shotgun[]

The Shotgun cocktail is a straightforward and potent mix featuring the bold flavors of whiskey and gold rum. Designed to be served in a classic whiskey glass, this cocktail showcases the robust, warm notes of whiskey, which are them complemented by the sweet, nuanced characteristics of the golden rum. Typically enjoyed cold, the Shotgun offers a simple yet rich flavor profile, appealing to those who appreciate the unadulterated and spirited tastes of its two primariy ingredients. Its simplicity and strength make it a no frills-choice for a quick and easy sipping experience.
