A Communal Husband is a male who is legally married to a community for the primary purpose of reproduction, although the husband may also be expected to tend to other roles as well (such as attending community meetings or representing the community as a whole alongside the community leader). Usually "married" to the community leader as a symbolic gesture, the communal husband is expected to be available sexually to all members of the community. This arrangement is also considered an open-marriage arrangement as members of the community are not expected to have to rely solely on the communal husband for satisfaction and can seek out other males of their own convenience.

A taciturn, behemoth of a man who specializes in physical strength and durability; traits that the Echidna Tribe consider appealing. "Mr Boytoy" of the Melusine Tribe
A true playboy and sexual connoisseur. "Mr Boytoy"'s erotic tendencies, sexual prowess and unique stamina allows him to consistently invigorate and satisfy his hyper-promiscuous and sexually adventurous Melusine wives.
"Mr Partner" of the Medusa Tribe
An intelligent and financially successful man who has helped the Medusa Tribe formulate a solution to the impending population crisis plaguing the "Snake-girl Tribes". While knowledgeable and analytical on the surface, beneath this exterior lies the heart of a romantic whose poems frequently win the hearts of his Medusa wives.

Trivia
- In instances where a community has more than one Communal Husband, usually the husband who is married to the highest ranked partner during their marriage ceremony (eg, Village Leader) is the highest ranked husband, or "Alpha Husband".
- The notion and mechanics of Communal Marriage is similar to the mechanics of Harem Marriage, however, where in a Harem Marriage the group is expected to be devoted to the husband/wife with no open-liaisons outside the group unless permitted by the husband/wife, in a Communal Marriage the communal husband/wife is expected to be devoted to the group, with the group itself also being allowed to engage in liaison outside of the marriage.
