An exorcism is the act of evicting a foreign spirit from someone else's body. Particularly prominent in extremely religious environments, exorcism is typically performed to remove an evil spirit possessing someone else's body. The person performing the act is called an exorcist.

- Exorcism in the Monster Musume universe is most effectively carried out by the Grim Reaper and Dullahan Liminal species, who use their scythes to banish Ghosts to the Afterlife by severing their connection to the living world. While the scythes typically do moderate damage against a living being, they are much more effective when used against beings such as a ghost, as one swing from Lala's scythe allowed her to sever Wladislaus Drakulya's hold over his daughter and permanently end his reign of terror.[1]
