- Wings: Like Harpies, Phoenixes have wings instead of arms that allows them to fly.
- Rebirth: Phoenixes are legendary for their ability to die but be reborn after their death, although it is unknown whether a Phoenix is actually technically immortal or if there are ways that he can die without being reborn. In general, a Phoenix may look physically young, but due to his regeneration cycle it is not uncommon for him to actually be centuries old. As Fi mentioned in her intro quote, the last time she died it took several centuries for her to be reborn, but it is unknown whether this was just an exceptional case or whether the regeneration cycle of a Phoenix's rebirth generally takes that long.

The Phoenix is a demi-human liminal race with the body of a human and the wings and talons of a bird.
An ancient and long-lived race, the Pheonix are legendary for their ability to become reborn anew after dying. Due to this, while a Pheonix may look young, it is not uncommon to find that they are actually centuries old due to their regeneration cycle.
The majority of human myths surrounding the species stem from Ancient Greece, although there have been some arguments that they originate from Ancient Egypt, where the species are held to symbolize the process of renewal and the sun due to their flame-coloured feathers.
They are have the same characteristics as Harpies, except they are reborn after dying.
Trivia[]
- Fi's name is derived from the name of her species (フィーニックス Fīnikkusu?), though more accurate sounding by using an elongated "e" sound rather then using the more commonly used flat "e" sound (フェニックス Fenikkusu?).
- Much like the Yatagarasu, it is unknown whether and if so, how closely related Phoenixes are to the Harpies.
