A human teaser is a human male that male Centaurs use to prime a female for mating.
For several centuries, the Centaur race had a "survival of the fittest" mentality, which dictated that only the strongest Centaurs were allowed to reproduce. This eventually resulted in the severe sexual dimorphism between male and female Centaurs in the modern era, though this had a severe cost. The females now find their male counterparts extremely repulsive and rarely mate with them out of free will, with male Centaurs universally considered grotesque and ugly by both the females of their kind, humans, and other Liminal species. To ensure that they can copulate, male Centaurs will rope attractive human men into interacting with their wives so that they go into heat, and upon becoming the most susceptible to their growing sexual instincts, the males will then mount the females in what is essentially a "legal" form of rape, with the teasers rarely getting a chance at any point.
Unsurprisingly, this practice is reviled by all but the male Centaurs, most of all the human teasers and the female Centaurs. While male Centaurs refuse to grow past the "survival of the fittest" mindset and consider a pure bloodline to be the best course of action for their race, the teasers and female Centaurs eventually grew fed up enough with the mistreatment to begin conspiring against them, with Centorea's Mother eventually succeeding in giving birth to a daughter fathered by a human teaser instead of her real Centaur husband. A later Jousting match between them showed that a Centaur's strength is not dictated by the purity of their bloodline, proving the male Centaurs to be out of touch with reality.

Trivia[]
The practice of the teaser stallion in horse breeding.
- The practice of the Centaurs in Monster Musume to use male humans as teasers is based on the practice in real live in horse breeding of using two stallions, where the first is used as a teaser and the second is used as the real breeding stallion. Unlike the Centaurs in the manga series, where the human teaser is supposed to sexually stimulate a Centaur woman so that a male Centaur can mate with her, the role of a teaser stallion is only to check through its presence whether the mare is in estrus and ready to breed, with breeders ensuring that an unintended mating between the mare and the teaser stallion does not occur. This practice serves as a check to ensure that the second stallion, the real breeding stallion, can be brought together with the mare and mate with her without any problems, as a mare that is not in estrus and therefore not ready to mate can react aggressively to the presence of a stallion, to the point where the stallion could sustain serious physical injuries.
- As revealed by Centorea's mother in an omake to Volume 7, the Centaurs get to teasers by temporarily letting young human males live in their country and community as part of a study abroad program, whereby she secretly chose those boys with the most pleasing appearances as potential candidates for new human teasers.
- It is not clearly known whether it is also common among the other Centaur subspecies to use human teasers, especially since it has not been confirmed that if by all Centaur subspecies their male counterparts have such a repulsive sexual dimorphism compared to their females. However, in Meamil's narration in Chapter 93, she talks about a human teaser who lived in her village during her youth, which implies that the practice of using human teasers might also be in the culture of the Dairy Breed Centaurs or that the residents in Meamil's village also includes other subspecies of Centaurs which this practice is common in the culture of at least one of them, as the Centaur infocard in Episode 3 of the anime adaption mentions that it is common for Dairy Breed Centaurs to live among groups of other Centaur subspecies.
