The Mermaid Hotel is a specialized upper-class hotel and resort owned by the Neptune Royal Family of the Mermaid Kingdom.
Built upon the Mermaid kingdom's "highest point" on Japan's eastern coast, the hotel resort is built on dry land overlooking the Beach and serves as a secondary residence for the kingdom's royal family. The hotel's main building effectively serves as a large water tank, with all floors being flooded with water as the hotel is specifically designed to cater towards underwater species.
A secondary hotel next to the main building is designed to cater to dry land guests and thusly possesses faculties more lenient for air-breathing liminals.[1]
