- This volume focuses much more on Kimihito than on his homestay girls, as they don't show up except for Chapter 86 and a brief mention of Centorea at the end of Chapter 90. This is justified insofar as the volume mainly focuses on Kimihito's investigation as an undercover investigator.
- In the light novel Monster Musume: Monster Girls on the Job!, Kuroko Smith mentions that the Liminal Employment Pilot Program was a test, as more and more Liminals were planning to open their own companies and stores. This volume confirms that this has been put into practice with the introduction of three new Liminal companies and shops: The Babu-Babu School, the Bee Hive store and the Panzer Ameise store.
