Poltfan is a fan translator for Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls, an exercise enthusiast and an avid fan of Polt the Kobold.
Originating from Columbus, Ohio, Poltfan gained an MEXT scholarship in Japan and currently studies/lives in the country.
He first began reading Monster Musume on the 4chan discussion boards while still living in Columbus and started a twitter account to chat with the manga's creator, Okayado.
After tweeting some questions about his favourite character, Polt, to which Okayado replied, Poltfan became a fan translator when the then active fan translator on 4chan wanted to quit due to loss of interest.
Learning of the manga's offer to make people background characters in the chapter, Poltfan took a selfie of himself at the gym as one of the last Mob Character applications and discovered that he had made it into the manga when he picked up the Ryu Magazine issue for Chapter 43.

- Poltfan has appeared as a Mob Character several times; first in Chapter 43 as an attendant at Sports Club Kobold who breaks his back after attempting to follow Miia's Lamia yoga lesson and later in Chapter 48 where he can be seen trying out equipment at the Sports Club Kobold exhibition during the Extra Species Cultural Exchange Exhibition. In Chapter 64 it is revealed that he and Polt had married and were supposed to be helping out at the Sno Ball Hot Spring Resort but were on a business trip to the states to open up gyms and do sports related business (with Poltfan acting as her official interpreter), leading to Kimihito and his homestayers to cover until they got back.
- Poltfan is dubbed "TanktopFag" on the 4chan discussion boards due to his preference for wearing tank top shirts.
- Okayado mentioned Poltfan during an interview, revealing that he increased Polt's appearances in the manga due to Poltfan's appreciation of the character.
