Qukul (ククル) is a Quetzalcoatl that appears in Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls Online.
She joins the liminal exchange program to become one of many potential homestay boarders for the player to host.
Appearance[]
Qukul is a woman of fair skin tone and a prominent bust. She has striking jade eyes and a thick mane of light grey hair held back with black hair band. Her attire of choice seems to be a traditionally-themed skirt and top combination utilizing green and gold feathers as a motif.
Qukul's body and torso are similar to that of a large Lamia; with her human torso turning into that of a snake's with red and cream scales below the waist. Her "arms" are that of a Harpy's in that they are not "arms" at all but two feathered wings of yellow-orange complexion that each posses a singular "thumb" or "claw" at the wing's prominent bend.
Personality[]
Qukul has a high amount of self-pride, proclaiming herself to be a "God Girl" (神様ガール Kami-sama gāru?) and insists that the household should have an altar devoted to her; promising that, if the householder worships her as a priest, they will receive days of prosperity and rest. While she demands that there are always offerings on the altar for her, she does not want sacrifices and also warns that she will not be responsible for what happens if there is alcohol in her offerings.
She's also a big stickler for home vegetable gardens and devotes herself to growing plants in vegetable gardens and is very good at growing corn.
She admits that she has a bad drinking habit.
Skills and Traits[]
- Quetzalcoatl Physiology:
- Godly Powers: While the Quetzalcoatl claim to have powers over death and resurrection, in peaceful Japan, they only use their power to promote the growth of plants.
- Flight: As a Quetzalcoatl, Qukul's wings allow her to fly.
- Poikilotherm: As a subspecies of Dragons, Quetzalcoatl's are cold-blooded, like Lamia and Lizardfolk. They are susceptible to cold weather and will seek places to hibernate unless their temperatures are at a functioning level.
Zoological Classification[]
- Main article: Dragon
The Quetzalcoatl is a serpentine Dragon subspecies that languished in Mesoamerica (Mexico) where they are worshiped as the "feathered serpent" gods of wind and learning; regarded as being responsible for giving Mesoamerican society books, the calendar and maize (corn). They are also regarded as a symbol of death and resurrection and were the patron of the priests of ancient times.
Possessing dexterous wings much like a Harpy's, a Quetzalcoatl is fully capable of flight despite their lower half's sheer size.
Trivia[]
- Qukul's named derives from the name of Quetzalcoatl's alias; "Kukulkan".
- Qukul refers to player as "priest" and herself as "god".
- In Aztec myth, it is said that Quetzalcoatl was once coerced by their brother and rival, Tezcatlipoca, into becoming so drunk that they then cavorted with their older sister, Quetzalpetlatl; a celibate priestess, and had sex with her; neglecting their religious duties in the process. The myths say that Quetzalcoatl felt so much shame and regret the next morning that they fled and became the morning star.
