Rem is a Gremlin that appears in Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls Online.
She absolutely loves gum and constantly requests some from you when outing or asked to do something. She has a lot of trouble waking up in the mornings and tends to sleep in until late afternoon, or until you feed her ultra spicy peppermint gum to wake her up (which ends up with her being grumpy with you).
Skills and TraitsEdit
- Gremlin Physiology:
A Gremlin is a pseudohuman species of beings that erupted into the public awareness of human society during the World Wars, in which they were said to have caused havoc on aircraft and other forms of technology, resulting in mechanical breakdowns - a trait which they have been continually associated with performing up to modern times.
It is said that at some point in the past, Gremlins showed humanity how to create machinery, leading humanity into an invention boom and industrial revolution, however, humans showed these little creatures neither recognition nor acknowledgement for their aid and, angered by humans' ingratitude, Gremlins would sometimes sabotage man-made machines in vengeance, leading to breakdowns and accidents, sometimes with fatal results. While nowadays their motivations seem to be more based on simple mischief than elaborate vendetta, their acts of sabotage can range from the miniscule and inconsequential to catastrophic failures that lead to loss of life.
- A female gremlin is known as a "Femlin" or a "Fifinella". Gremlin children are known as "Widgets" (boys) or "Flibbertigibbets" (girls).
- Gremlins are said to be anywhere between a mere 6 inches tall all the way up to three feet in height.
- Gremlins during WW1 and WW2, were thought, at one point, to have sympathies towards Axis and Central Powers, but then Axis and Central Powers had similar and equally inexplicable mechanical problems in their military machines: hinting that Gremlins are equal opportunity tricksters, apparently taking no sides in the conflict, and acting out their mischief from their own self-interest.
- Unlike most gremlins, Rem doesn't enjoy pulling pranks on people. She just has a genuine fascination with human machines.
