Swimming pools are manmade structures filled with water that are large enough for anyone to swim inside. They can be built into the ground, above the ground either as part of a building or a structure on their own, part of a cruise ship or inflatable containers which are portable.
History[]
The first swimming pool to be built was said to be in Pakistan during the 3rd millennium BC. Much later, Romans and Ancient Greeks built them not just for leisure but exercise as well.

Trivia[]
- After Ms Smith had Kimihito unwitting roped into the Cultural Exchange Between Species Bill, she had a new room with a large swimming pool added to the Kurusu House for Mero, which the Mermaid's mother would later have expanded for her daughter to have more room.[1] As Kimihito and Mero note, however, the Monster Ops: Neutralization team seem to overwhelmingly favor hanging around Mero's pool over every other room in the house in their increasingly frequent visits. Mero is particularly disdainful about these visits, as they essentially take over the pool and limit her access to it.[2]
- The Blood Suckers' Residence has a large pool that is primarily used by Leechi and Yatsume, but also Moskii to a lesser extent, while Curie doesn't use the pool because she cannot swim. Originally, the building was solely given to Curie, but her eventual housemates would overhear her when she said at the reception of the Black Lily Laboratory that she didn't want such a large house just for herself, and volunteered themselves as soon as they heard about the pool. By coincidence, the three were in the middle of their own house hunt beforehand, noting a pool to be a top requirement due to Yatsume and Leechi's biological needs.[3]
- Like most of the other parts of the facilities, the Sports Club Kobold pool was meant for usage by humans and liminals, but was originally constructed based on human design standards. As a result, it was under-heated for reptilian liminals such as a Lamia and the water used chlorine as a cleaning agent, causing Miia and Mero to suffer from significant health issues when they first swam in it. Polt has since taken note from the incident and now keeps the pool a higher temperature and used ozone instead of chlorine.[4]
- A quick, simple, and cost-effective method of protecting a handheld smart device from water is to place the device in an appropriately-sized sealable plastic storage bag, which is effective enough to allow complete submersion with little-to-no water damage. Mero uses this trick with a tablet and freezer bag to order clothes online.
