Wool is a fibrous material commonly used in textiles. Known for its insulating properties, wool is often used in the production of comfortwear, being an industry standard alongside cotton. The material is also surprisingly resistant to high heat, and as such is also used for the inner lining of many firefighter uniforms.
Wool is actually a type of hair that is sheared off of certain animals, primarily sheep, but also goats, camelids, and even some species of rabbit. As an animal fiber, wool consists of protein together with a small percentage of lipids. This makes it chemically quite distinct from cotton and other plant fibers, which are mainly cellulose.

- Pans wool grows on their bodies in a way that resembles a human wearing accessories. Ironically considering the race's chaste reputation, shearing it off elicits feelings of arousal from the Pan being sheared, though this can be easily overlooked if said Pan is sheared quickly. Additionally, Pan wool is considered superior in quality to normal sheep wool.
- While she does acknowledge it's versatility, Rachnera Arachnera still considers Pan wool as an inferior material when compared to Arachne Spider Silk. However, Rachnera only expresses her opinion about Pan wool in Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou 4-koma, a spin-off series that can only be viewed as semi-canonical, so it is not known whether Rachnera also has the same opinion about the wool in the manga series.[1]
